💬 Social Media Sentiment: Improved Accuracy and Opposition Insights

Spark surfaces social media sentiment across every U.S. county. Users can find active Facebook groups, see how communities are talking about solar, battery storage, and data centers. Understand engagement patterns before they become organized resistance.

This quickly became one of our most visible features. Based on early feedback, we added common reasons for opposition and significantly improved location accuracy.

🗾 Project Discovery Map

Many users asked about viewing ordinances and project activity on a map, so we built it in a week. The Discovery Map lets you explore recent projects and filings nationwide, highlighting noteworthy project and ordinance activity at the state and county level. It's not a complete inventory, but it's designed to surface what matters most when you're scoping new markets.

Projects can take years to come online, and the regulatory landscape shifts constantly. Alerts ensure you never miss a critical change — new moratoria, nearby project filings, ordinance updates, and more — delivered straight to your inbox.

As one user put it: “Real-time alerts mean info comes to us instead of us going to them. We can sign up a site in 2024, but it might be 2 years before we put in an application. We need to see what's changed in the meantime.”
