New from Spark AI: Automated Alerts
Know before it's too late.
Solar, storage, and data center projects don't fail overnight. They fail because a zoning code changed two months ago and nobody caught it. A moratorium passed over night, and it didn’t make the news. Community opposition organized before anyone on the development team saw it coming. By the time a developer finds out, the damage is done.
Alerts exist so that this doesn’t happen to you.
What It Does
When you generate a Spark Report, you can now enable alerts on that location. Spark will continuously monitor the data behind your report and notify you when something changes:
Zoning code updates for the jurisdiction
Shifts in community sentiment and opposition based on local news and public comment
New or updated meeting minutes from planning boards and commissions
Moratorium activity: new moratoria introduced or existing ones modified
Past project changes: new filings, permit updates, or status changes
You choose what to track. Monitor everything, or just the categories that matter for your project.
"Real-time alerts means info comes to us instead of us going to them. We can sign up a site in 2024 but might be 2 years before we put in an application. Need to see what's changed in the meantime"
How It Works
Enable alerts from any Spark Report. After generating a report, toggle on monitoring for that location. Select the categories you care about, or track them all.

Manage everything from Monitored Locations. A new tab in your dashboard gives you a single view of every location you're watching.

Monday morning digest. Every week, you'll receive an email summarizing all activity across your monitored locations — which sites had changes, what changed, and a direct link to the updated report.

Get Started
Open any Spark Report and enable alerts. It takes just a few seconds, and you’ll never be the last one to know when community opposition surfaces, a zoning rule changes, or a moratorium drops.
